Terms
These terms cover the Pulse Local desktop app and its optional bank sync. The hosted Pulse service has separate terms.
For Pulse Local 0.4.26 · Pulse Browser, Inc.

The software
Pulse Local is made by Pulse Browser, Inc. for your personal use on your machine. By using the app, you agree to these terms. Local mode does not require an account.
The AI files used by the app are published on Hugging Face under open licences: Apache 2.0 for the two language models, MIT for the small model that matches questions. Their use is covered by those licences.
Your data is yours. The privacy page explains what stays on your machine and what is shared when you connect a bank or send feedback.
The motto “Not your machine, not your data.” is a trademark of Pulse Browser, Inc.
Connected mode and the Sync Pass
A device account is created on Pulse’s server when you connect a bank, without your name or email. It exists so the connection has an owner and so the Sync Pass can be billed.
The Sync Pass is $29 a year for up to three institutions, and $8 a year for each further institution up to twenty-five. It is billed by Stripe. You can change the number of institutions from the app and cancel in Settings, under Sync Pass and billing; a cancelled pass runs to the end of its year and is not refunded for the part unused.
What the pass buys is the bank connection through Plaid, which charges Pulse per institution. US banks only, for now.
A bank’s own terms and Plaid’s terms apply to the connection itself; they are shown inside Plaid Link.
What the app is not
Financial decisions stay yours. Pulse Local helps you understand your money. Its answers are information, not financial advice. Check important amounts and consider your own circumstances before acting.
Your bank statement remains the record. Pulse Local uses the transactions you import or receive through bank sync. It is not a bank.
Errors and backups. The app can make mistakes and is provided as is. Pulse Browser, Inc. is not liable for decisions taken on its figures or for loss of data on your machine. Keep a backup of your data.
